Judith Franken :

Dutch sculptress, living in France since 1998. Teacher in sculpture, worked with several materials including bronze. Used material: Clay (hand-formed without molding) with a cold finishing, which gives a metallic surface. Theme: The human face is a mask which hides the mystery of each personality. Inner force, peace of mind, pain, torment? Expressing sometimes introversion or charisma, it translates a fragile balance. The eyes, often closed or hidden, symbolize introspection, the search of its own truth….
